A paint of a stump in Drought Mountain, it was created by Linda Lovisa.

Drought Mountain

Drought Mountain is in the Peachland area. I hike there a lot in the spring as the snow melts there sooner. The light was steaming through the forest and there was a little bit of green coming through the layer of pine needles. This stump is one of my favourites to paint. It was a very big tree in its day. This is all that remains and it is still an important part of the forest for the mosses and little creatures. A few years ago there was a fire up here and the fire missed the stump. I was so glad to see it had survived. Although the younger trees are blackened they survived as well.
